Early Career

Performance and Growth

Agency, Telecommunication, Lifestyle & Beauty, FMCG, Retail

Growth isn’t driven by a bigger budget, but by strategic decisions. At Zed Digital, I convinced L’Oréal Paris to adopt online video as its primary channel when video advertising was still in its infancy. Revenue rose by ~40% in two weeks, and the share of online advertising was permanently increased from 5% to 20%. At OMD Switzerland, as Digital Director, I led the entire digital division, managed three media planners, and drove Migros campaigns at the C-level from strategy through to implementation.

At Orange Communications, I was responsible for digital marketing communications from planning through implementation to reporting, always in close coordination with the traditional advertising team. I established a digital-first mindset, where digital concepts were developed first and traditional measures were derived from them. At the same time, I built up Facebook from zero to half a million followers. A comment section evolved into a functioning customer care channel because I developed processes that no one had asked me to create.

After Disney, I took on two assignments in FMCG and beauty. At Doppelleu Boxer, following a corporate merger, I delivered a new corporate website with structure, content, and a communication strategy within three months. At Filabé, I restructured online marketing around growth hacking principles: SEA, agency pitch, social media, and influencer marketing. Both times starting from scratch, both times with clear results.

Brands, Structures, and Positioning

Telecommunications, IT, Computer Science, B2B, Financial Sector

I have managed brands, led campaigns, and created structures within complex organizations that have endured beyond the scope of my mandate. This involved budget responsibility, managing media and creative agencies, and ensuring that external communications were consistent.

The “Sinfonie” campaign at Swisscom won the Swiss Web Award because I was responsible for agency management, communication strategy, and implementation as a whole. The relaunch of cspb.com at Credit Suisse Private Banking was hailed as a milestone in financial circles because I not only designed the front end but also built the bridge between business and IT.

At UBS, I structured product information and documentation so that client advisors could find content faster and use it directly. An internal solution that was adopted as a template for other departments without a formal request. Technical understanding makes me a better strategist. I know what is feasible and where shortcuts can cause long-term damage.

Digital Pioneer (Digital Native)

FMCG, B2C, B2B, Content Marketing, Community,

In 1996, I was among the first to set up an online store and a professional website for an SME. Not because it was my job. Because I wanted to.

For CaffèRe, I built a complete corporate presence from scratch: copy, services, structure, and SEO and SEA integrated from the very beginning. What began as a simple order form evolved, through four redesigns, into a full-fledged e-commerce shop with card payment.

At the same time, from 1995 to 2005, I ran my film review website moviesquare.ch—a self-programmed film criticism platform with over 500,000 regular unique visits—as an accredited film journalist for all major studios. What I practiced there is now known as content marketing, community building, and SEO.
